HIstory

JefferSon beer is brewed in an exciting collaboration between the unique American beer guru Randy Mosher and Ørbæk Brewery.

Randy Mosher has written the books Radical Brewing and Tasting Beer, which brings the reader through the brewing history and recipes for beer brewing, a kaleidoscopic journey of fantastic tasting beer. The books can be bought here…

The late legendary English beer writer Michael Jackson, writes in the foreword of Radical Brewing ”The world desperatly needs more Moshers. If only we had more Mosher, the Tasmanian tiger might return from extinction. Mike Tyson at his peak would be able to step into the ring with Muhammed Ali. We would be able to see and hear the great performers who pre-dated the recording of sound. I might even now be sipping a pre-prohibition beer and checking whether Buddy Bolden could be heard across Lake Ponchartrain. Or I might be sampling Harwood’s porter in a London pub, or an India Pale Ale aboard a clipper heading for Calcutta”

Jefferson was the 3rd U.S. president and a confirmed beer brews on the family plantation in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Jefferson has named this beer series, which is brewed with respect for the old beer tradition.

JefferSon brewery welcomes you to an exciting beer universe.
